  • Bridges
    • The Bridges Collaborative Learning Environment (CLE) powered by Sakai is an open-source course management system that facilitates the creation of sophisticated web-based instructional materials. Bridges provides the academic community with a single environment to manage courses, build e-portfolios for teaching, learning and assessment, while supporting collaboration with colleagues on research, projects, and various other university activities.

  • GoToTraining | GoToMeeting
    • GoToTraining | GoToMeeting are the web conferencing tools currently supported at RWU for live (synchronous) web classes and meetings.
  • iRubric
    • RWU has a site license for all faculty for the iRubric software. This web-based comprehensive application allows faculty to develop, use and share rubrics for assignments. iRubric has been integrated into Bridges Gradebook 2 so that assignments can be scored right in the grade book. As faculty select rubric scores for each criteria in the rubric, the results are calculated and the scores automatically recorded in Gradebook2. When the grades are released to students they will be able to view the rubric and their resulting scores.

  • Poll Everywhere
    • Poll Everywhere Student Response system allows instructors to take quick polls in their classrooms similar to using clickers without any additional hardware or software. Setting up a poll on the web or within a PowerPoint presentation is easy for the instructor and students can respond using their laptops, tablets, smart phones, etc.  Using Poll Everywhere allows instructors to get a quick snapshot of their students' understanding of the topic while simultaneously increasing engagement. RWU has a site license for this application. Interested instructors should send email to id@rwu.edu to request a license.

  • Multimedia Streaming Options
    • RWU has a range of options for streaming media available for faculty and students. Your goals and comfort level with the technologies dictate the best options for you.   • Qualtrics
    • RWU has a site license for Qualtrics Survey software. This application makes it easy to create powerful electronic surveys. The RWU Qualtrics site is at:  http://surveys.rwu.edu. Faculty would choose the Academics.RWU domain and use their RWU username and Bridges/email password.
  • rCloud
    • rCloud allows for virtual desktops so students can log in to the server from their own computer 24/7 and pull down an interface that is customized to their needs and just start working.
