Wireless internet access is available on all three floors of the library. In order to use the wireless internet in the library make sure:

  • You have a wireless network card installed in your laptop
  • You have a myRWU email username and password

To see if you have a wireless network connection setup:

  • Go to start
  • Click Control Panel
  • Choose network and internet connections
  • Then click network connections.

To connect to the wireless network:

  • While still in the network connections box right click on the wireless connection and choose connect to network.
  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • You will be asked to log in.
  • To access the wireless network use your RWU email address the first letter of your first name, first letter of your last name, last four digits of your social security number, and “RWU” Example: John Doe’s login is “jdoe364” and his password is “jd3492RWU”.

NOTE:                 

  • Folks who are not affiliated with the University (and folks who have trouble logging in) can access our wireless network using the wireless network connection called “Public”. When this connection is used however, there are certain limits.  Only web browsing and email is available. 
  • The library printers will NOT print documents from any wireless device including your laptop!
