Services for Faculty and Staff: Office Delivery of Library Items

What items will be delivered?
All borrowed items (including items requested from other libraries [inter-library loans])
When can I expect a delivery?
Once per day, Monday-Friday  (at the discretion of the circulation supervisor).  This service will be provided only during the Fall and Spring Semesters

Deliveries may be skipped due to:

  • Inclement weather
  • Insufficient staff and student workers on duty
  • Delivery by inter-office mail may occur occasionally in place of hand delivery at the discretion of the circulation supervisor
How will I receive the item?
  • You must request the service (it is not automatic)
  • You must have a deliverable location on campus such as an office or mailbox accessible by library staff
  • The items are put into a campus mail envelope (or covered and taped in 8.5x11 scrap paper);
  • No more than 3 items will be delivered at any given time.
How do faculty and staff use the service?
  • Those faculty and staff who wish to receive this service can complete the online form.
  • Inter-library loan requests will automatically be delivered othewise you simply place a hold in in the HELIN system for RWU Items.
Returns
All items must be returned to the library.
