Writing, Math, & Core Tutoring
Need a Paper Critiqued? Help with your Math homework? Help in organizing your ideas? Staff in the Center for Academic Development provide assistance with:
- study skills
- reading
- writing
- disability services
- time management
Peer & faculty tutoring is available in the Writing Center and Math Center. Peer tutoring for Core courses and biology, chemistry, and physics
Hours: Mon - Thurs. 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 9 am - 3 pm, Sunday 2 pm - 8 pm.

Academic Technology
Offers nearly 100 individual and group computer workstations throughout the Library and Learning Commons, including 11 Macintosh Computers on the first floor. Additional hardware includes LaserJet Printers (Black/White and Color), Photo type Inkjet Printers, Scanners and an Adaptive Technology workstation.
There are a lot of different software applications available for students. Some of the important ones include:
- Office Enterprise 2007 Suite (Access, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word)
- Adobe CS3 Design Premium Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Flash)
- Adobe Photo Elements
- SPSS, Maple, AutoCAD
Instructional Design
Instructional Technologists assist faculty with the integration of technology into their curricula. Services include:
- Support for Blackboard, web-based learning management system including Turnitin Assignments, podcasts, wikis, and blog
- Support in using Video Capturing Hardware and Software
- Software assistance in MS Office Suite, Adobe Master's Collection, Apreso, Camtasia, Pinnacle, Dragon Natually Speaking, Final Cut Pro (video editing) My RWU, and Datatel
- Help in using technology hardware -- digital camcorders, tablets, iPods, Web Cameras, Clickers, Scanners, Classroom podium, MACs and PCs

Media Services & Resources
Media Servcies provides for the acquisition, maintenance, and distribution of technology equipment used in the classrooms. Videotaping of special events, projects, presentations or lectures can be arranged. In accordance with U.S. Copyright Law, CD and DVD duplication services are available.
The media collection consists of compact discs, video cassettes, and DVDs.
